Welcome to Reception at Wylde Green Primary School!

We are very excited to have you in our Reception Classes this year. We are looking forward to being able to help you learn and grow. We are going to work hard and have lots of fun. Our topics are based upon your interests- which is very exciting. These may include; Traditional Tales, Farm animals and People who help us.

We learn in a variety of different ways. We participate in adult focuses and child initiated activities, as well as working as a whole class and in small groups. We have the opportunity to work inside and outside- this also includes the Jungle Gym and Texture Kitchen! We will also practise our Phonics and Maths every day and we will show you how we start to read, write and calculate number sentences!

The children will be working very hard to become experts and independent learners!
